5 Day Online Safety Course: The Tribune India

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology held a five-day course on “Cyber ​​Security: Managing Risk in the Information Age”, which ended on Tuesday . The program was sponsored under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Phase II Project of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

More than 300 national and international participants had registered for the event. Participants include faculty members and academic researchers working in the field of engineering and science. Professor Binod Kumar Kanaujia, Director of NIT, explained the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital age. He emphasized the need to secure the critical information infrastructures of government and private organizations in today’s era of globalization.

ISEA-II Principal Investigator Professor Harsh K Verma briefed participants on the project. Dr. Geeta Sikka Head, Computer Science and Engineering, gave a brief introduction on the different areas that will be covered during this five-day STC.

Professor Sofat gave a lecture on ‘Cyber ​​Security & Forensics’.
