C-DAC Patna Launches Emerging Technologies Course, Bihar Takes New Milestone in Technological Knowledge Development

True to its mission of making C-DAC Patna a hub of advanced computer learning centers while expanding its role in the eastern region of the country, the Center’s Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) will launch a course of PG diploma on emerging technologies on September 21. (Tuesday) in the august presence of the former Union Minister for Law, Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Bihar Information and Technology Minister Jibesh Kumar, Minority Welfare Minister Mohd Zama Khan, Digha MP Sanjeev Chaurasia, Information and Technology Department Secretary Santosh Kumar Mall , Development Commissioner Amir Subhani, Secretary of Minority Welfare Department AN Safeena, and Dr Bindey Kumar, Professor and Dean, AIIMS Patna attended the event.
Apart from that, IT experts from IBM, Tech Mahindra, KPIT, Intel and INTENSE Technologies graced the occasion.
During the event, certificates from the BRIDGE-DAC program were also distributed to students of the September 2021 class of the Online PG-Diploma. This will be followed by an introductory program for courses leading to the PG diploma, which has traditionally been viewed as a powerful preparer of a new graduate’s professional career and is a common method of harvesting graduates and qualified professionals.
Shri Jibesh Kumar, Minister, Department of Information Technology and Labor Resources, Bihar declared on this occasion: “This is a new step in the line of our ‘Invest IT Bihar’ campaign, which encourages investors to invest in the IT sector of Bihar. Technically skilled young people with C-DAC certification will be an incentive for investors as they will have access to a highly skilled and employable workforce in the state itself.
“It is a proud moment for Bihar that C-DAC not only created the Advanced Computer Training School (ACTS) in Patna, but that Patna (Bihar) is now the sixth placement area in the country for the C-DAC, dealing with the placement of candidates from the northeast region. The Center for the Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is a scientific society of the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). C-DAC, as a research and development organization, focuses on advanced areas of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) such as high performance computing, grid computing, development of software, legacy computing and linguistic computing, electronic governance and cloud computing, health computing, cybersecurity and cybercrime, and education and training.
