DRDO is looking for junior researchers in computer science, mathematics, computer science
The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has invited all eligible applicants to apply for a Junior Researcher (JRF). A notice to fill the posts was published on Tuesday. Candidates selected for the junior researcher will have the opportunity to work for two years in the field of cryptology for DRDO. Applicants will be selected on the basis of an online interview.
Applications are invited for three positions each in three fields: mathematics, computer engineers and information technology and computer science. The last day to apply for the positions is October 8.
DRDO Recruitmet: who can apply?
Age: The upper age of applicants is capped at 28 years. Applicants belonging to other backward classes (OBC), listed castes (SC) and listed tribes (ST) will benefit from a relaxation of the age of five.
Education: Those applying for JRF Mathematics must have a first-class graduate degree in Mathematics from a recognized college or university and must be qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission. (UGC).
Those applying for CSE or IT Computer Science fellowship positions must have first-class grades in their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with NET or GATE. Applicants applying to JRF in EE or ECE must have a first class degree in EE / BE / B.Tech and NET or GATE scores.
To apply for the Junior Research Fellowship, a candidate will need to visit the official Recruitment and Assessment Center (RAC) website – rac.gov.in and apply by October 8.
Meanwhile, ISRO is offering a free five-day online course in geospatial technology for professionals and researchers. The course, namely “Geospatial contributions to enable the formulation of a master plan under the AMRUT sub-program” is scheduled for October 11-15. Interested candidates can apply at elearning.iirs.gov.in. The course consists of five lectures in all, each lasting an hour and a half. The lectures can be followed through the IIRS e-class portal, Dehradun.
