Free Cloud Computing Course For The Less Privileged

The GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), the corporate social responsibility arm of the GMR Group, will offer a free course for disadvantaged people on cloud computing, in collaboration with the Tech Mahindra Foundation. Students who graduated with B.Tech. (SCC, TI, ECE), B.Sc. (Computer Science) and BCA between 2019 and 2022 and residents of Rangareddy district can apply for the three-month course.

The training will take place four days a week at GMR Varalakshmi Center for Empowerment and Livelihoods, Airport campus, Shamshabad, and for two days at Tech Mahindra Academy, said GMRVF CEO Ashwani Lohani.

Trainees enrolled in this course can take the AWS (Amazon Web Service) Certified Cloud Practitioner course. GMRVF and Tech Mahindra Foundation will assist selected candidates to pass this exam. Placement support will also be provided to all successful applicants, a press release said on Monday.

This course is open to both male and female applicants. The GMRVF will provide free room and board to all selected male candidates during the training period. There will be 20 trainees in each batch, with the first starting on September 8.
