Objective of the position

The position is based within the Manchester Client Operations team within the Professional Development division. The role sits between the operations and online teams, providing a bridge between the two departments. The position will search external sites for courses that cannot be placed in-house.

This role will provide a course management service for Professional Development (PD) courses; including sourcing and negotiating rates with external sites, managing site requests, managing course capacity, and updating internal reservation and learning management systems. This role will focus on supporting both face-to-face and online courses. You will support clients, clients and internal stakeholders on a day-to-day basis and use multiple systems to administer face-to-face and online courses.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Check that a site has been assigned to each event by larger BPP teams or find an external site at a competitive rate
  • Run daily / weekly reports as needed and send them to sites
  • Order laptops and any required equipment, if applicable
  • Monitor the capacity of the room and request a larger room if necessary
  • Communicate last minute changes instead
  • Confirm delegate names and course numbers at a specific location in accordance with GDPR
  • Help with the accumulation processes of end-of-month sites
  • Assist in monitoring course capacities to identify overcapacity / undercapacity courses, then implement appropriate actions with guidance from the Senior Operations Manager
  • Support new user registrations from customers
  • Perform regular imports (CSV) in systems
  • Help update production schedules, catalog and customer course listings online
  • Onsite support for live streaming of the RFP online via Adobe Connect
  • On-site support for asynchronous PD recordings
  • Support the asynchronous course development process
  • Create new courses or update courses on PD LMS and store environments
  • Set up programs in continuing education systems for new online courses
  • PD Online Mailbox Support
  • Manage documents, presentations, etc., stored on the PD Online share
  • Help with online PD equipment inventory management
  • Support online PD with live online events (internal and public)
  • Running reports for clients
  • Generate PD Online Product Feedback Reports
  • Update OCR Live tracker

  • Ideally graduates, but applications from applicants with relevant work experience or other equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
