Ministry of Communications offers free graphic design course

Egypt’s ICT sector is one of the fastest growing economic sectors thanks to a set of sweeping changes and increased investments, including education reform plans and access to advanced technologies and computer skills. Serving as a central vehicle in Egypt to bridge the knowledge gap between Egyptian professionals, local SMEs and the global economy, the e-Learning Competence Center (ELCC) is launching in January a free five-day online training program on graphic design standards. 2022.

The “Graphic Design Standards Training Program” targets new graduates of the EdTech department of any college’s Faculty of Education, the Computer Science Department of the Faculty of Engineering, or the Faculty of Computer Science and Information. Their invitation also extends to producers of electronic content.

Founded in 2004 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (MCIT), ELCC is the cornerstone of Egypt’s technology boom, helping to build the capacities of young Egyptian professionals by mobilizing resources and promoting equality. learning opportunities through a wide range of virtual courses. and electronic content.

This comes against a backdrop of increased funding for specialized training programs offered by the ministry from EGP 50 million in 2018 to a budget of EGP 1.1 billion in 2021-2022. The information infrastructure and digital transformation sector has been the subject of numerous investments, spearheading the development of the country’s technology by implementing 12 projects at a cost of EGP 3.5 billion.
