Post-doctoral researcher, School of Computer Science job with UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN (UCD)

Applications are invited for a 24-month temporary position of a UCD Level 1 Postdoctoral Fellow within the UCD School of Computer Science.

The School of Computer Science at University College Dublin is inviting applications for a full-time, 2-year term position as a Postdoctoral Researcher within the [email protected]CD Research Group and Insight Research Center SFI.

This position is in the field of human-computer interaction, with a focus on digital mental health. Digital mental health involves the use of technology to support improved mental health at an individual and societal level. In recent years, it has become an important research focus within the HCI community. It is also a central objective for the [email protected] research group. Over the past 15 years we have developed a range of systems including games and mobile apps to support young people and online and blended interventions for adults. We led TEAM, a European Marie Curie doctoral training network dedicated to designing new technologies for early assessment, prevention and treatment of mental health problems in young people.

This research has had significant impact and has been widely published in HCI and healthcare conferences and journals. This is a research-oriented position. The successful candidate should help leverage our recent work in digital mental health. There is also some flexibility to tailor the focus of the research to the specific interests and expertise of the successful candidate.

Salary range: 39,522 – 45,610 per year

Appointment within the above range will depend on qualifications and experience.
