Proposals Wanted for dB-SERC Course Transformation Awards | University time

The Discipline-Oriented Science Education Research Center (dB-SERC) invites proposals for Course Transformation Awards from natural science faculty members at the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences.

The awards aim to transform courses and enhance student learning in those courses by adapting evidence-based practices and to facilitate faculty growth as academic teachers in line with dB-SERC’s mission to improve the teaching and learning of the natural sciences at Pitt.

All full-time Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences natural science faculty members who teach undergraduate courses on the Oakland campus are eligible to submit proposals. Collaborations between faculty members of the Dietrich School and the School of Computing and Information, the Swanson School of Engineering or other disciplines are also eligible as long as one of the project directors is a faculty member of Dietrich School.

The deadline for submission is March 1. Multiple grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to cover projects undertaken between May 1, 2022 and August 31, 2023..
