Roles and responsibilities

The National University of Singapore is inviting applications for the position of Associate Researcher at NExT ++ Research Center, School of Computing (SoC). With a strong research interest in social media analysis, the researcher will work closely with Principal PI Professor Chua Tat Seng to conduct in-depth research to process a huge volume of time-rich multi-model data. real, scalable. data analysis and reexamining the role of human-machine symbiosis at all levels of the framework.

About Us

NUS-Tsinghua Center for Extreme Search (NExT ++) is the first research center of its kind jointly established by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tsinghua University of China. When the Center was launched in 2010, it aimed to provide live information on social media that is not available on the web. NExT had carried out pioneering research on rich multimedia content analysis and research, live social media analysis, and has since built the large-scale systems for live social observatory, well-being and l ‘quality assurance. With dramatic evolution in the social media landscape, NExT ++ envisions empowering users through the evolution of web intelligence. Qualifications

  • A doctorate in computer science / computer engineering
  • Have a solid background in mathematics, algorithms and social media analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of deep learning frameworks eg PyTorch, Tensorflow, Nengo
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with unsupervised learning
  • Motivated result
  • Previous publications in major conferences in computer vision (CVPR / ICCV / ECCV) or machine learning (NeurIPS, ICML / ICLR) are a plus
